Emulation in the Vatican : The Emulator Page

What is Emulation : Emulation is the ability to "fake" a certain computers characteristics on your own computer.
Give us an example : An example of emulation is the software that is used to emulate a NES on yout computer.

Alright, enough of the technical stuff...bring on the emulators!!!
Nintendo
NESticle .34 Bloodlust Software One of the best emulators for the nes available. Certainly the fastest and best supported. Get it now!
UPDATE: The NESticle site is currently down (Aug 7, 1997). When I find the new address I will post it. The copy above is local, so it can still be downloaded.
INES .7 Marat Fayzullin The second emulator written (that I know of). Originator of the widely supported .NES format. Slow on most computers, but not a bad choice. Newly updated
Pasofami Author Unknown The oldest NES emulator (that I know of). Originated the cumbersome .PRM / .PRG / .CHR / .NAM format. Still quite fast, but not updated from what I've seen. Japanese version (yes, there is an English version, but I lost it. Sorry :)
Super Nintendo
ESNES .14a Lord ESNES One of the fastest and best SNES emulators available. Lots of roms support and speed on a nice machine. Sound now partially emulated!
SNES 97 0.0.15 (Win 95) Jerremy Koot and others Another wonderful SNES emulator. Windows 95 version. Even runs on my DX2/66!
SNES 97 0.0.15 (DOS) Jerremy Koot and others A DOS port of SNES97 by Jerremy Koot. Basically SNES 97 for Win95 except in DOS.
SNES 9X .12 (DOS) Gary Henderson and others A DOS port of SNES97. With sound even! Wonderfully fast and lots of rom support.
SNES 9X .10 (Win 95) Gary Henderson and others A Win95 port of SNES9X. Same basic features, but no sound, I think.
Genesis
Genecyst .20 Bloodlust Software The fastest Genesis emulator available. Lots of rom support and mega speed.
UPDATE: The Genecyst site is currently down (Aug 7, 1997). When I find the new address I will post it. The copy above is local, so it can still be downloaded.
Genem .19 Markus Gietzen The first Genesis emulator available. Because of lack of support (from what I know), this project was shut down. Still a great emulator, with a lot of rom support. Requires a fast machine, though.
